Juice was a “Poetry Art and Prose Periodical” that appeared irregularly in the 1970s. It was co-edited in the San Francisco area by Judy L. Brekke and Stephen S. Morse, and it still exists as a web site at juice-press.com. This particular issue had a scatological theme to it, with most of the writings and drawings centering on sex. In the back of the issue Gus is credited simply as “Gustav Hasford, Venice, California.”
