Excuse me, sir, but are you the same Bob Bayer who was friends with the late Gustav Hasford?
If yes, then I would love to hear from you.  Gus was my cousin and I'm currently putting together a web site devoted to him at:

www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Screen/9170/index.htm

I came across your name in an obituary of Gus.
If you are not the Mr. Bayer I'm looking for, I apologize for bothering you.

i'll be glad to supply some: articles, pictures, letters. i've got a carton

Well, that's all the bullshit I can think of--
oh God, I hope I don't run out for good--
what would I do for a living?
