Excuse me, sir, but are you the same Bob
Bayer who was friends with the late Gustav Hasford?
If yes, then I would love to hear from
you. Gus was my cousin and I'm currently putting together a web site
devoted to him at:
www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Screen/9170/index.htm
I came across your name in an obituary
of Gus.
If you are not the Mr. Bayer I'm looking
for, I apologize for bothering you.

jason,
i am indeed the bob bayer
who was gustav's buddy. i checked out your web
page tribute to him. pretty spiffy. i'll
forward the web address to all the
other snuffies who knew gus in the nam.
if you ever need more stuff on him
i'll be glad to supply some: articles,
pictures, letters. i've got a carton
or two in the garage.

Well, that's all the bullshit I can think
of--
oh God, I hope I don't run out for good--
what would I do for a living?
